In the last couple of decades, music festivals around the world have become favorite getaway destinations for passionate music fans. Across the continents of Europe, North and South America, Africa and Asia, these huge events host millions of music enthusiasts each year and each of them gives out a very different vibe. Here is our choice of just a few music festivals, each held in a different part of the world.

Where: Indio, California, USA

Coachella is one of the best music festivals both in the US and in the world. It takes place every year in the Coachella Valley, in Southern California, and it is held on polo grounds in the desert. It is a perfect place for sun lovers and fashion bloggers since this festival combines A-list music, artistic structures, celebrities and craziest fashion outfits.

This year, Coachella featured big music industry names such as Eminem, Beyonce, and The Weeknd, along with SZA, Jamiroquai, the Creator, A Perfect Circle.

Where: Novi Sad, Serbia

Founded in 2000, as a student movement protesting against socialism in Serbia, Exit music festival has been visited by more than two million people from all parts of the world. It is located in the medieval fortress, Petrovaradin, and it contains 16 stages which feature performers of electronic, punk, reggae, rock, metal and hip-hop music. This year, Exit will be bringing big names like David Guetta, Grace Jones, Martin Garrix, Jax Jones, Ziggy Marley, and many more world’s recognized DJs.

Splendour in the Grass

When: July 19-21, 2018

Where:  Byron Bay, Australia

Founded in 2001 and held in North Byron Parklands, Splendour in the Grass is known as Australia’s answer to Glastonbury festival. What makes this Aussie festival different is that it also features art installations, craft markets, circus workshops, dance and comedy performances, and a magnificent camping site. It showcases a huge line-up of electronic and dance, indie rock, hip-hop, and alternative music genres. This year, some of the famous names will feature Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, Khalid, The Wombats, Girl Talk, MGMT, and many others.

Where: Boom, Belgium

Known for the best performances in electronic dance music, Tomorrowland is one of the most recognizable music festivals in Europe. In the last decade, it was sweeping electro lovers off their feet, getting more and more visitors each year. It is presenting advanced main stage designs, and lineups feature hundreds of most popular world DJs. This year, Tomorrowland will provide you with a pleasure to listen to the upbeat music by the famous artists including Carl Cox, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, and Kayzo. This year, the festival also features a rap star, French Montana.

Fuji Rock

When: July 27- 29, 2018

Where: Naeba Ski Resort, Niigata Prefecture, Japan

Being the most recognizable music festival in Asia, Fuji Rock is holding the place of the biggest outdoor music event in Japan. It took place for the first time in 1997 and it was located at the base of Mount Fuji, but in 1999 it changed its location to Naeba Ski Resort. It features the greatest performers from the world of rock and electronic music. This year its lineup will host big names like N.E.R.D, Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex, Bob Dylan, Vampire Weekend and Jack Johnson.
